I create film and photography work that explores movement across underwater and dance environments, capturing embodied presence for stage, screen, and commercial projects.
I am interested in how bodies inhabit space — on land and in water — and how film can hold rhythm, breath, and physicality. I am drawn to work that is quiet, attentive, and felt as much as it is seen.
Much of my practice takes place underwater, where gravity, breath, and time behave differently — a space that has become central to how I see and film movement. Alongside underwater work, I also collaborate with performers and dancers on land, in studio and performance settings. My background in underwater and aquatic practice informs how I work in water, with care, clarity, and attention to safety.
I work across the full creative process — from concept through filming, editing, and final delivery — collaborating closely with artists, companies, and production teams.

Alongside commissioned projects, I develop my own short films where movement and the body are central. Some of this work has gone on to receive awards at international film festivals. For more personal projects and short films, see pennefatherfilms.com.
